HCUC and MFMEC receives no government funding or private donations to help pay for need based charity care. We strive to serve those that have met financial screening thru charitable organizations such as Catholic Charities and have significant demonstration of need.

HCUC and MFMEC does participate in the Texas CHIPS program through the Superior Health Plan.
(The Seton CHIPS program has thus far declined to contract with HCUC and MFMEC. HCUC and MFMEC are unable to participate in the state Medicaid program due to the primary care "medical home" and the pre certification requirements for office visits that are not with the patient's primary care provider.)
