Insurance Information

*As of July 2009, these are the plans and networks with which MFMEC and HCUC has a direct or indirect contract to provide services. Many other health plans pay benefits for services delivered at our offices. Depending on your coverage, usually you will have some out of pocket cost with any medical care. The terms of your health plan specifies how much your co-pay and deductible will be and which particular services are applied to your deductible. Remember you are responsible for your portion of the expense at the time of service. Please call the number on your insurance card to inquire about your co-pay and deductible. You may also call Marble Falls Minor Emergency Center or Hill Country Urgent Care, and we will do our best to assist you with questions about your insurance and help you determine whether you will be using your in-network or out-of-network benefits at our facilities. **Most insurance policies apply surgical procedures such as sutures and care of fractures to your deductible. Patients should be prepared to encounter these costs if they have not met their annual deductible. Only a few policies will cover these procedures at 100% after an office visit co-pay. Please contact your insurance company for the details of your plan or refer to your policy. The staff at our offices will do their best to help you determine what benefits you can expect from your insurance company. Please Call 830-798-1122 or 512-263-1600 for questions.
If you would like us to try to contract with your insurance so that you can receive “in-network” benefits, please have your employer’s personnel (or benefits) supervisor contact your insurance company or contact us us at: mike@mfmec.com

About Us
Marble Falls Minor Emergency accepts most of the major insurance carriers with special attention to the insurance providers of our local employers. Even if we don’t participate in your preferred provider network, we are still happy to see you as an out of network provider. We will even assist you with the paperwork that you need to get reimbursed from your insurance company.

Urgent Care Cost vs Emergency Room Cost

Saving on Care (Health.com)

Urgent care saves time, money plus eases overcrowding in ERs (Denver Business Journal)

HCUC & MFMEC offer a 25% "prompt pay discount" to those paying in full at the time of service. We accept cash, major credit cards and personal checks.
Payment in full (except for contracted insurance payments) is expected at the time of service unless special arrangements are made in advance of services.
HCUC & MFMEC participate in very few HMO's. The only HMO's that we currently participate with is Blue Cross and Humana. Scott and White Health plan members can access us thru the PCHS or Texas True choice PPO networks. Otherwise, if you have an HMO, we are probably not in your network of providers. It is your responsibility to know that your insurance is an HMO. We currently do not participate in any Aetna HMO products.

Texas Medicaid prohibits urgent care providers from participating due to it's "gatekeeper" model. You must see your PCP or go to the emergency room for care.
